Cocco Corporation’s leading brand, Maine Beach, features Australian made and designed body care and home fragrances products, based on a hero ingredient sourced from iconic regions of Australia.
Partnering with local producers and growers for the hero ingredients, the products promote Kangaroo Island and the iconic Riverland region, with their most popular collections featuring Ligurian honey and beeswax from Island Beehive and orange and lemon essential oil from Natural Fractions in Renmark.
Domestically, Cocco Corporation has approximately 850 active stockists while internationally they are exporting to distributors and retailers in Asia, with Japan being their largest market.
In November 2019, the company presented at the Cosmoprof Tradeshow in Hong Kong, where the support provided by DTI, TradeStart and Austrade helped secure new distribution to 30 retail stores in Taiwan, five new stockists and an exclusivity agreement for Taiwan; and are in final negotiations with a sales consultant for the United Kingdom.
Due the impact of COVID-19 on the domestic side of their business, which is focused on tourist-based retail outlets, Cocco Corporation has refocused their strategy towards export eCommerce, and are a recipient of the eCommerce Accelerator Program (eCAP).
eCAP has been designed to assist small to medium-sized exporters in selling their products or services digitally and globally, by embracing and leveraging eCommerce.
Cocco Corporation plan to use eCAP funding on the registration of an official Maine Beach account on Little Red Book, fast track product listing for WeChat Mini App and Little Red Book, and outsource content generation of articles and promotional material for both accounts.
A partnership with HA Media Investments, a South Australian based company, has been formed for WeChat and Little Red Book content creation, product registration/listings and translation services.
Utilising cross-border eCommerce, Cocco Corporation intend to fulfil all orders from their head office, warehouse and showroom based at McLaren Flat.
